Snippets of Rhythm series (2024-2026)
The works in this series stem from dance-based performances carried out on large, unprimed canvases. On these, various repetitive movements or gestures are performed, each associated with a different drawing material. In this way, layers are created on the canvas through diverse movements and materials. Once the performance is complete, the canvas is often fragmented to highlight certain marks or gestures. The result is a family of images in which the reference to the performance/dance as a whole is lost, but the imprints and traces of the body remain and take centre stage. These images have an autonomous character, halfway between performative drawing and abstract gestural painting.
The canvases included in this series comprise a range of different sizes, from 46x38 to 163x250cm.

Rituals series (2025-2026)
These works are also created through performances on large-scale canvases that are usually fragmented. However, these works are not related to dance, but to Zen philosophy. Although they continue to be based on a process-oriented approach in which the body plays a major role, their execution is governed by a more measured energy, in which the emphasis shifts from expansive bodily movement towards more subtle elements, such as gesturality, breathing or touch. The role of repetition is likewise relegated to the background in favour of a meditative and restrained gesture, which in turn is expressed in a more minimalist style and evokes restraint. The canvas used on this occasion is of an earthy tone, allowing for the incorporation of white pastel.
The canvases included in this series comprise a range of different sizes, from 46x38 to 160x270cm.
